Charlene J. Wynder graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree and double major in Communications and Political Science. During her years at USC, she volunteered her time teaching and mentoring local elementary school students with the Joint Educational Project.  It was as an undergraduate that she obtained her first jobs in the legal field as a legal assistant in a small immigration law firm in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles and then as an administrative assistant at a small business litigation firm in downtown Los Angeles.

Charlene then proceeded to attend law school part-time at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During law school, she served as a staff writer and production editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review. She also participated in externships with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office’s Appellate Services Division and the Disability Rights Legal Center’s Education Advocacy Project in Los Angeles. At the Disability Rights Legal Center, Charlene represented clients in IEPs and dependency hearings and conducted public presentations and workshops on specialized topics in special education.

In 2004, Charlene began working as a law clerk (and later became an associate) at Dapeer, Rosenblit, & Litvak, LLP ("DRL"), an AV-rated boutique law firm in West Los Angeles, specializing in corporate and business litigation, public entity law and practice, professional liability litigation, and real estate and land use litigation. Charlene worked at DRL for over 11 years, representing both private and public sector clients in state and federal civil, criminal, administrative, writ, and appellate actions.

Beginning in November 2015, and for 2 years, Charlene worked at Best Best & Krieger LLP ("BBK"), an almost 200-attorney law firm that started business in the Inland Empire in 1891. As Prosecution Counsel in the Municipal Law practice group, Charlene represented cities and police departments in litigation in various state courts. Charlene's practice also included general advisory and transactional work for public entity clients, criminal and civil municipal code enforcement, Pitchess motions, gun confiscation proceedings, and Health & Safety Code abatement and receivership matters. While at BBK, Charlene represented cities and police departments in six (6) different counties, including the local cities of Ontario, Fontana, Colton, and Arcadia, along with the Claremont Police Department, Azusa Police Department, Colton Police Department, and the Ontario Police Department.

In representing both public and private sector clients in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, San Diego, Kern, and Imperial counties, Charlene found that her passion was working with and serving people and organizations within their communities. At Wynder Law, Inc., Charlene has continued to pursue that passion by providing local legal services to nearby businesses, non-profits, community organizations and individuals.

Charlene lives locally with her husband, 3 children, and 2 dogs. In her free time, Charlene and her husband run a local non-profit organization that serves youth in the community.  She also loves food, travel, sports, and reading.
